UNDATED (AP) — Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys is apologizing for his arrest outside a bar in Key West, Florida, nearly two weeks ago. Carter tweets he is human and “it can be a struggle to balance a healthy lifestyle.” He says when he falls, he has to get up and keep walking, and he tells fans, “I hope you stay by my side and continue to walk with me.” Carter and another man face misdemeanor battery charges. Authorities say they were asked to leave a bar for being intoxicated and aggressive and Carter allegedly grabbed a bouncer by the throat.
